64 were produced by Jackson & Sharp of Wilmington, DE between 1880 and 1882. The windows and doors were originally rounded, but were subsequently replaced by the familiar rectangular format. Car 284 from this series, which was used on the "Chili Line", has been beautifully restored by the Colorado Railroad Museum where it is on display. Four of these cars were also produced for the White Pass & Yukon Railroad, where -- after
much rebuilding -- they are still in active service.
